Your Horse's Name:
Xxxxx
Its Age (guess if unsure):
14

Is your horse considered to be (Select as appropriate):-:
Ideal Weight
What are your horse's main activities/workload? (Select all that apply).:
Hacking/Light Work, Dressage
Horse's other main activities/workload.:

Does your horse have any known behavioural or health issues/problems? (Select all that apply).:
Itching no sign of parasites, This can have many causes & be difficult to control. I suggest you try Itch-Ban™ - relief from skin irritation not caused by parasites or similar. There are several such products available - it's trial & error to see which works best.

Has your horse got any other known behavioural or health issues/problems?Loose droppings moderate - like cowpat
1 episode of laminitis last November caught early. Tested and results showed EMS reading but now under control.

You need to maintain a low starch & sugar diet.

Is your horse receiving any medication or supplements for the problems indicated above? (If so, please specify and for what issue/problem). Please include details of recent worm counts & tapeworm tests, the last worming date & which wormer was given. :
Wormed in March 25
When were teeth last checked? (approximately):
May 25

Please outline your horse's daily routine: e.g. time in stable, paddock/grazing, activities, etc.:
Out daytime In at night

How much, & what quality hay or haylage is it receiving per day? If possible weigh your haynet- or say how long a bale lasts & give bale size? e.g. standard small - 20 -25kg? round? large rectangular?
10lb meadow hay at night Also some during day as no grass in paddock due to no rain
10lb = 4.5kg/day

Hours/day grazing.:
10 You said there's no grass in the paddock. It's drought-stressed so what little grows will be young & have a high sugar content - this can contribute to loose droppings.
Is the pasture:-:
Average
? See 10 above.
What feed is it receiving? Coarse mix? nuts? If so which brand & what quantity.:
Twice a day am and pm Half scoop unmollased happy hoof and half scoop herbal chaff
An 8"round scoop holds about 0.5kg of these products so about 1kg/day total. These have a high fibre content

If you are feeding any supplements or balancers - which ones & how much of each?
Half small measure Cinnamon, brewer’s yeast, spirulina, salt

Continue the cinnamon & spirulina - they may well be of benefit to her. Why are you feeding extra salt - her diet should provide sufficient.

Are you feeding any straight feeds e.g. oats, barley, maize, soya, copra, or linseed, & how much?
Unmolasse beet
How long does a bag last? Speedibeet and similar require soaking with up to 5 parts water & the actual weight of dry ingredient fed is low - probably < 100gm so not contributing much in the way of essential nutrients & fibre. However it's kind to the gut & improves feed palatability - especially when feeding products with a high straw content.
Are you feeding any long fibre - e.g. chopped alfalfa, hay, straw or grass chaff? How much?
10lbs meadow hay at night not soaked

What is your enquiry and how can we help you?
Huge soft very heavy droppings. Not diareah

Your horse probably weighs between 500-580 kg - say 540kg. The USA's National Research Council 2006 recommends a minimum roughage intake of 1.5% of bodyweight per day & ideally 2%. She requires at least 8kg/day but is only getting 5 - 6kg so her current diet is insufficient. This is the most likely cause of her loose droppings, so increasing the amount of unmolassed herbal chaff & Happy Hoof - say double could help. Straw, preferably oat in the stable - if only a leaf or 2 in the corner or in the paddock will provide an additional source of fibre. Adding some Bung-Upp™ will provide live & brewers’ yeast to improve the balance of the hind-gut microbial population; you won't need extra brewer's yeast so you can omit that. As her overall condition is satisfactory I advise maintaining the current diet, plus the extra fibre. You may need to give midday feed to enable adequate intake.

As the feed data provided includes few weights it is only possible to prepare a rather imprecise report. I have looked at the crude fibre figures & as your horse is otherwise fit & well not done a full analysis.

The above is a typical example of a basic report & costs £29.50
A full report with a printout of all the nutritional data: the macronutrients - proteins etc plus micronutrients, vitamins & minerals, will cost a further £20
