If there is sufficient demand a set of scales will be purchased for yard visits. Fees will be based on £5 per horse with a minimum charge depending on distance to your yard

Feed Planning

Your Nutrition Enquiry form will be assessed & a report prepared to advise you of any modifications that may be needed to optimise your horse's diet and feeding practice. Once completed you will be sent a bill then the report when payment is received by card, paypal or bank transfer

Yard Visits can be made for assessing feeds, pasture & forage, to discuss feeding methods & calibrate feeds & haynets, & condition score.
If there is sufficient demand portable scales will be acquired to enable horse weighing.

Condition Assessment.
Horses should be well covered, with ribs not visible & normally carry some fat which will be lost naturally over winter. Bodyweight should be monitored regularly to ensure it stays within the correct range for its height & breed.
High performance sports horses require minimal fat & gut contents to minimise excess weight. Restricted fibre diets can cause health problems such as gastric ulcers.

All consultations first require completion of the Nutrition Enquiry Form, Whilst this is not essential for yard visits it will enable John to prepare an accurate report in the comfort of his home. so that he can first do any research which may be required to ensure an accurate report.
